“We’re replacing the gym with rock!” – that is the motto of Head Smashed. Wherever the Swiss pop-punk band takes the stage, great vibes and a real party atmosphere follow.
Inspired by late-’90s heroes such as Green Day, Sum 41 and The Offspring, they carry the charm of pop-punk into the present day: raw, heavy riffs, punchy multi-part vocals and lyrics you can sing along to after the very first chorus. With years of live experience at festivals and as support act for bands such as J.B.O., Head Smashed know exactly what makes a great live show.
You can hear it on their debut album “Feeding the Animal”, released in January 2015. True to the sound of the ’90s yet open to modern influences, the record blends the tried-and-tested with the courage to try something new. It was created together with American producer Chris Fogal (Black in Bluhm Studios): nine powerful songs that grab you from the very first note. This is pop-punk – this is Head Smashed!
